Stealth (2005)

In 2005 Human Dynamo Workshop made a set of miniature models for the film stealth. The model was rigged for pyrotechnics.

The scene in which these models got blown up features in the film and looked incredible.

.

In the workshop Human Dynamo built 7 of the scud missile launchers over 3 months. They were designed to be packed with explosives and detonated on set three at a time to create a realistic small scale explosion. So it had to go right because they only had two takes.

Everything went perfectly and the models look incredible in the film. This movie from Columbia films was directed by Rob Cohen. The models were originally allocated 2 days of shooting for explosions. But when the quality of the models were seen on set another 2 days were allocated for filming the models for extra sequences added into the film.
